Representatives from Association of German Trade Unions in the CTUA
At the invitation of the Armenian office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation representatives of the youth wing of the Association of German Trade Unions of North Rhine Westphalia arrived in Armenia.
On 20 June 2017 the Vice President of the Сonfederation of trade unions of Armenia Boris Kharatyan hosted the delegation of the DGB headed by Eric Shelley. Liana Badalyan, Friedrich Ebert Foundation Program Coordinator in Armenia, introduced the guests.
Then the sides presented their structures, problems and tasks of their organizations, as well as issues contributing to the trade union movement.
At the end of the meeting representatives of the youth wing of the DGB met with the young trade unionists of the branch republican unions. During the event young trade unionists from both countries tried to get to know each other through questions and answers.
At the end of the meeting the Head of the Educational-research centre and Executive Secretary of the CTUA Garnik Vagharshakyan thanked delegates and representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and expressed hope that such cooperation would promote trade union movement.
