IV Congress of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia

  On 6 October 2017 the 4th Сongress of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia was held in Yerevan.

  The Chairman of the CTUA Eduard Tumasyan presented a report on CTUA activity in between the III and IV  congresses and dwelt on its main results.

  Report of the Auditing Commission of the CTUA  was presented to the congress by its chairman Araksya Arakelyan.

  The chairmen of the trade unions organizations of the Academy of Sciences of the RA K.Mikayelyan, CJSC Yerevan brewery "Kilikia" A.Sarkisyan, CJSC "Electric Networks of Armenia" A.Muradyan, CJSC “Nairit Plant" G.Tadevosyan, Chairman of the  Branch  Republican Union of trade union organizations of metallurgists, miners and jewelers of the RA  E.Pakhlevanyan took the floor during the debate on the reports.  Report of the credentials committee was presented by the chairman of the commission E.Manaseryan.

  The congress summed up the results of the work for the reporting period and approved the program of activities for 2017-2022. The governing bodies of the CTUA  - the Council and the Executive Committee were formed, as well as the composition of the Auditing  Commission.

  At the congress a statement was adopted on the occasion of the World Day for Decent Work.

  Eduard Tumasyan was re-elected Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, Boris Kharatyan and  Khachik Arakelyan were re-elected CTUA Vice-Chairmen.

  The chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Makaryan was present at the congress and delivered a speech.  The  message  of  the RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan to the Congress was read by Aram Vartevanyan, Senior Assistant to the PA Prime Minister.

  Natalya Podshibyakina, Deputy  General Secretary  of the General Confederation of Trade Unions,  took part in  the Congress. She made a welcoming speech and read the message from the General Confederation of Trade Unions.
