The Seminar on the Issues of Gender Equalities
The Educational-Research Centre of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia with the support of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Pan-European Regional Council (ITUC-PERC) on 8-9 June 2016. in Tsahkadzor hold a seminar "Legal support of equal rights for women and men."
The seminar was attended by members of the standing commission of the CTUA Council for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men and representatives of branch republican unions.
The President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia E. Tumasyan welcoming the guests spoke about the reforms made in the CTUA and noted the importance of the issues to be discussed at this seminar.
Senior Specialist in Workers' Activities of ILO DWT and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Sergeyus Glovackas presented the Project G20 Skills «The role of trade unions in the development of skills and training."
ITUC-PERC advisor Olga Nicolae in her speech touched upon the theme of regional issues, workers' rights, as well as the main priorities of the PERC.
Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation E. Matureli presented the activities and campaigns of the Women's Committee of the GTUC.
Chairman of the standing commission of the CPA Council for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men T.Nazaretyan told about the activities of the Commission and the urgent problems facing it.
Head of Legal Department of the CTUA M.Piliposyan presented the changes made to the RA Labor Code and answered numerous questions of the seminar participants.
Head of Educational-Research Centre of the CTUA G.Vagharshakyan summed up the results of the seminar, noting the role of trade unions organizations in ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
