On July 1, 2015 the chairman of the Confederation of trade unions of Armenia Eduard Tumasyan hosted Dr.Gernot Mitter, Deputy Head of the Department of Labour Market and Integration Policy, Austrian Federal Chamber of Labour.
Welcoming the guest, Mr. Tumasyan expressed his satisfaction with the activities of the Austrian Development Agency in the support and development of social partnership between the government, trade unions and employers in Armenia.
Mr. Mitter pointed out that the purpose of his visit is to study the scope of social partnership in Armenia, the conclusion of agreements with concerned parties on the implementation of cooperation. He also noted that he attaches great importance to the activities of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia in the issues of labor market investigations, retraining, unemployment benefits and expressed his hope that in cooperation with the Austrian Development Agency the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia will reach the desired results.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Director of the State Agency “ National Center for Legislative regulation” E .Manukyan, Deputy Chairman of the CTUA B. Kharatyan and head of occupational health and social-economic issues department of the CTUA K.Madoyan.
