STATEMENT
of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia
The Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia expresses concern and anxiety in connection with the aggression of Azerbaijan and the outbreak of military actions on September 27 along the entire line of contact with Artsakh. The consequences of such large-scale actions, shelling of peaceful cities and villages can have unpredictable consequences.
The Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia condemns the aggressive, criminal actions of the Azerbaijani authorities, which led to victims among the civilian population, numerous destruction and expresses support for the heroic people of Artsakh.
Azerbaijan's behavior clearly shows that the authorities of the country are not ready for peace.
Today many countries of the world condemn the aggression of Azerbaijan and its attempt to invade the Republic of Artsakh. The current alarming situation requires an immediate cessation of all military actions, recognition of the right of Armenians to live peacefully on their land.
We hope that the United Nations, the European Court of Human Rights and other international organizations will take measures against the continuation of large-scale offensive actions by Azerbaijan and the establishment of peace in the region.
